USA: From California to Nevada (US16 - Part 5)

Primm and Las Vegas 2016

After days and nights of thinking and planning and watching The Hangover, we finally managed to squeeze Vegas into our itinerary. We're going to Vegas, baybeh!

From Anaheim, we went back to LA to pick up our rental car at National. And we're all ready for our road trip to Nevada.

That's our cool left-hand drive, Jeep Renegade.

But before that, we stopped at this Mutiara Authentic Asian Halal Food for lunch.

They even have these selection of asian groceries.

I want all!

Mee goreng XXL. There's no such thing as "small" portion in LA.

We resumed our journey to Nevada with some halal fried chicken to-go. The aromatic smell of halal fried chicken we couldn't resist as we know, we'll be eating seafood for the rest of the week.

The traffic was kinda bad.

And it's a 5 lanes highway.

Loving the satellite radio!

Taking the Route 66, just because.

Zzzzkay......

Just after we crossed the state border of California and Nevada, we reached Primm Valley Casino Resort. We stopped by not for the casino (even though no one will check your ID), but for something far more interesting. Here lies one of the earliest hypercoaster ever built, the Desperado. It's going to be our first hypercoaster ride and I was beyond excited!

Buffalo Bill's  Resort & Casino.

I didn't know it was THAT big.

Don't know what he's doing.

How dare you!

The longest 3 minutes of my life.

My first ever hypercoaster experience was incredible! The best part of hypercoaster is definitely not the lift-hill part, which takes time like forever. And the chilly and windy weather did not help at all. But once you reach the top, it's when all the fun begins. When you were just about to feel like on top of the world, you fall, and you just keep on falling, 200+ foot down the hill at high speed, still not reaching the bottom part of the track. And at that moment, it hits you that this is REAL. Wow! I just survived my first hypercoaster. Achievement level unlocked and the rest is history.

We didn't plan to spend much time in Primm though, so we just settled down with 2 Desperado rides, and a creepy log flume ride that we went on just because of the unlimited pass we bought. We then off to our next destination.

Hellooooo, Sin City!

Checked.

People of all kinds, swarming the place.

Jalan Bukit Bintang aka The Strip!

Staying here for 3 nights. Circus Circus Hotel & Casino.

We  initially booked a motel, but got upgraded to this spacious hotel room. Nice! We were also given a coupon booklet to be used around the resort. You know you're in Vegas when you got coupons for free stuff, that make you spend even more money to get those free stuff.

It's already late and we're dead tired. All we wanted to do was to eat our halal fried chicken that we bought earlier that day (still taste good), and sleep (so old..). Vegas just has to wait..
