Gotta love the sky!
Woke up real early but the sun was already way ahead of us. And it was only 5.30 in the morning. We were in Gold Coast for 4 days, but have yet to be at the beach. So this morning, we were going to Surfers Paradise!
Surfers Paradise
We were among the very few to be at Surfers Paradise this early. People are not as crazy to leave their bed at this hour. The beach would be more crowded in the afternoon. When we reached Surfers Paradise, to our disappointment the beach and its area were dirty with lotsa garbage. Food wrappers, empty cans and beer bottles were everywhere. And not just that, people were sleeping at the beach, with bottle still in their hand. Must be partying real hard last night.
See those trash?
Anyway, we found a good spot at the beach and just hang-out, enjoying sea breeze while watching at those surfer dudes in action. The sand is white and smooth, just the way I like it. The kids started digging and building sand-castle, and having their jakun-moment at their best. While we were chilling, we could see the bandaraya (cleaners) already started cleaning up the area. They have this something like a tractor, ploughing the sand all the way along beach and magically makes the beach all fluffy and the rubbish dissapear! So efficient! By 7 am, I could already see that the beach are all clean and in tip top condition, ready to be partied over again tonight.
It was only 7.30 am, but the day was getting hotter. Not wanting to risk any more of my already tanned skin, we went back to the apartment and had breakfast. Need to fuel up before some retail therapy after this.
Harbour Town
Harbour Town is a famous shopping outlet in Gold Coast. This would be like a closing ceremony of this trip. Still got a lot of cash and credit cards waiting patiently in my wallets, ready to be used. To me, Harbour Town was okay, but not crazy. However, attention to all Pandora lovers! The price is much cheaper here in Aussie (after convert), so it is a really good bargain to get those shiny silver charm pieces of yours, here. You can always check the Pandora Australia website in advance, for the actual prices and see it for yourself. There is no Pandora store here in Harbour Town though, but I got my loot from the official retailers Regal Design Jewellery (it is one of the outlet there in Harbour Town). Go find it and don't forget to ask for special discount.
Halalan toyibban Nandos in Harbour Town.
I prefer the Malaysian version of Nandos. "Extra-hot" here is an overstatement. To be truth, I prefer nasi lemak.
And this is where the damage happened. *mata-bersinar*
