Hong Kong: Hong Kong Disneyland, Day-2! (HK15 Part 4)

Hong Kong 2015

Waiting for our shuttle bus to pick us up from Disney Hollywood Hotel.

It's day-2 of HK Disneyland. Our objective was simple. To try all remaining rides we didn't cover the day before. Well, it's not that simple. It was raining the whole day. -_-! But, I will never let rain to stop me from having fun in HK Disneyland. Never!

Mystic Manor

This ride is located at the Mystic Point land in HKD. This is by far the best non-roller-coaster ride for me in HK. It was amazing! Short intro. Originally Disney planned to have Haunted Mansion attraction in HKD but since the Chinese culture is sensitive with anything spiritual/ghost as this would effect their whole feng-shui thing, they have to revamp the whole concept and that's how the non-ghostly Mystic Manor came to live. *spoiler ahead* Mystic Manor is basically a tour inside the mansion live by Lord Henry Mystic together with his pet, a monkey named Albert. The guest is going to see an exhibition of Lord Mystic's lifetime collections, including his latest acquisition the enchanted musical box. So the legend was told that the musical box could bring everything to live. So, with a curious monkey living in the house, you could probably tell what would happen next. Total chaos! *spoiler ends* The special thing about this ride is that it's a dark trackless ride, which means we can't see any track on the floor which also means we won't know where we're going. This is the 2nd of its kind (the 1st one is Pooh's Hunny Hunt ride in Tokyo Disneyland). We were very lucky as Mystic Manor was a walk on (no queue!). And our luck got even better when we got to experience both different routes during the ride to see two different perspectives (which is totally random). The length of the ride was just nice and the whole experience was truly magical. I don't know exactly how to explain the details, but for Disney to put all the things together and make it happen, it's brilliant! I was mesmerized and fascinated all the time by the beauty of Mystic Manor. And everything just look so intricate and impressive. If you go to HKD, this ride is a must!

Excuse the (very) poor quality image. The only inside-the-ride photo that I have.

This is one of many photo ops in Mystic Point.

The same photo op from a different angle.

Next would be all photo post! Enjoy..

Wet Toy Story Land. This land is lack of indoor attractions, and it's the farthest land in HKD. People was barely there.

Lunch at Tahitian Terrace (halal certified). Makan tanpa was-was.

"It's a Small World" and its sleep-inducing song.

Mad Hatter Tea Cup.

Fast Pass for The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. Honestly, the queue wasn't that long, but we make use of the Fast Pass anyway.

Another walk on. I'm blessed!

Happy tears!

Golden Mickey show.

Grizzly Mountain is stunning at night.

The aftermath.

These were all attractions that we tried on this day (not in order):

1. Mystic Manor
2. Jungle River Cruise
3. Mickey's Philharmagic
4. Golden Mickey
5. It's a Small World
6. The Many Adventure of Winnie The Pooh
7. Mad Hatter Tea Cups
8. Space Mountain

The perk of being there during non-peak days, is that most of the rides barely have queues. I'm so glad that we could repeat Space Mountain back-to-back just like that. But bad news is, there were rides close for maintenance. Also, bad weather just make it even worse. Still no parade on our 2nd day, and no fireworks either (pouring rain all through the night -_-!). All in all, we enjoyed our Disney vacation in Hong Kong. Would definitely come again for that new Iron Man ride.

Some photos taken at the Disney Hollywood Hotel.

See you again HKD.
