G'day, mate! It's roller coasters day today! Weehuu!
We're going to Warner Bros. Movie World! I actually wanted to be there before the park opens, but it's not easy to handle 10 people and be on time. Anyway, it was a hot day! Despite that it was weekday, people were still swarming the place. We then found out, it was Schoolies week. It's actually when the Australian high schools graduates just finished their finals and ready to partayy. So imagine teenagers who just got "freed" from school, full of hormones, loud, spreading everywhere around Gold Coast, and we were surrounded by them.

The Green Lantern Coaster
Still couldn't believe about Schoolies and the coincidence, we didn't waste time to go on our first ride of that day. But before that, we watched the Hollywood Stunt Driver 2 first, as the time was just about to start. It's an action packed show with loads of stunt driving and drifting vehicles (mainly the popular Australian ute). It's something not to be missed when in Movie World. Then, it's roller coaster time. First stop was the Green Lantern Coaster. So we queued along with the schoolies (-_-!), and waited patiently. The Green Lantern Coaster was actually new to the park. I really like it because it was my first roller coaster with inversion but without any over-the-shoulder-restraint. Just a secured lap bar. The special characteristic of this roller coaster is that it has a 120 degree drop angle and that's awesome!

Superman Escape
Next stop was the most anticipated roller coaster in Australia, the Superman Escape! The queue line was never ending for this one. Waited nervously for over 60 minutes in a closed area, and waiting for this long was just mentally agonizing. Finally it's our turn. We got to sit in the last row. That means, more air-time.
*spoiler ahead*
The roller coaster or the "MRT" moved slowly into a supposedly MRT subway. It was fine at first, but suddenly, a disaster! Earthquake (no tremble, just visual)! We had been alarmed and then suddenly the train stopped.
"Don't worry folks, there's only one way out of this mess. I'll get you out of here. Fast. Superman fast."
Wait, what?
Belum sempat nak mengucap, the train launched 0-120 km/h in 2 seconds, up up up to the sky! Scared? Thrilled? 2 seconds was too short to compute anything. Still in great shock, suddenly, the train plummet! And the rest is history..
*spoiler ends*
This ride is fantastic! The theme, the launched mechanism, the speed, all is great. But the duration is a little too short for me.

Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster
Then we tried out the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster. It's an indoor coaster so we cannot really see the track and how it looks like. But it's a Scooby-Doo themed coaster, so how bad can it be, right?
*spoiler ahead*
The start of the ride was pretty much as expected. Scooby-Doo spooky-like surroundings and animatronics, and nothing much. It's pretty dark in there. And suddenly, the train stopped at nowhere. We were lifted up slowly and only then we realized that we were on an elevator lift. Well, this is a twist! At this point of time, we know that this is gonna be fun! Lifted to quite a few meters high, the train was then turned around and tadaaa...the rest of the wild-mouse track lies in front of us. I was overly excited by this! Enjoying the rest of the ride with so much joy!
*spoiler ends*
The other roller coaster in Movie World is the Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy. Unfortunately, it was closed for maintenance. I was frustrated by this as it looks like an awesome ride with inverted track and a couple of inversions. Well, maybe next time..

Other rides that we've tried..
1. Wild West Falls Adventure Ride - if you wanna get wet, this is just right for you.
2. Justice League 3D - main tembak-tembak.
3. Road Runner Rollercoaster.

See that? Bring poncho if you hate of getting drenched. But here, you don't see people wear ponchos on ride like this. They want this!
The kids also have something fun to ride on..

Enjoy the rest of the photos..
Nachos for lunch.
Ablution tub in prayer room. Simple but effective.
Park in a park. No people to be seen, as it was closing time already. Just for a few more jakun-moment photo snaps.
Ohana.
Tips and tricks:
1. Buy the Movie World soft drinks tumbler for 12 dollar, and FREE refill for the whole day!
2. Avoid Schoolies holiday. Google for the specific Schoolies date of the year.
3. Be there before the park opens, and once entered, straight ahead to Superman Escape first (if you are a roller coaster/thrill ride big fan!). This is the most popular ride in the park, so you might not want to waste time queuing (like I did).
4. Check out for rides maintenance schedule in advance. You might not want to miss those big rides, like Arkham Asylum (like me again).
